Fish Net on a Leap Day

I went to school in this outfit today. Today is leap day so I decided to wear something interesting.

Pink lips.

I love the arm detail of this dress and how it's very comfortable. Whenever people would point out how cool the sleeve is, I joke that I'd be going on a fishing expedition.

Photos taken by my Mom and brother
Also, Congratulations to those who passed the 2011 Bar Exams, especially to my friend Atty. Anna Go!

Audrey

My mom got these for me today.

As much as I hate stepping on that pretty face, I love the fact that now I have the perfect slippers. Thanks, Mom! You're the best. <3

This shoot was done four months ago and it's the funnest I've done so far. I met Bestie, a popular blogger through my close friend Ginger. Bestie said she had a friend who was into photography and was looking for models.

The photographer, Charlston Uytanlet is a full-time architect. I love how his photos are vibrant and very natural. We did two sets and below are the photos from the first set. He says it's inspired by The Devil Wears Prada  and Gossip Girl. Of course, since I am a fashion-freak, I was so excited to do this.

Thank you, Charls and Bestie! :) And thank you also to the boyfriend for always being with me in whatever I do.

It has been eight years since we first saw each other in a class soiree. We were both in our senior year in high school and we were both pounds lighter than we are today. When the soiree started, he was seated in front of me and he was smiling at me. I, being the conservative 16-year-old, merely giggled and smiled back, not really being sure if I were the one he was looking at.

We didn’t talk the entire night though. Nikko has always been the life of any party and has always been really funny. Yes, he was cracking jokes and laughing but that night, he didn’t talk to me directly.  Even when the group decided to play “funny bones” and by fate, Nikko and I became partners, still he didn’t talk to me. He was just there with his boyish smile. And I continued to smile back, ‘cause I never felt something like that before.

But the next day, on Valentine’s Day, he initiated a chat with me, texted me and then asked if he could call me up. Of course, that was when I confirmed that I was the one he was looking at the night before. We talked for just a few minutes because I was still shy. Haha. But then he asked if he could call me again. From then on, he kept calling me every night. That was the start of the 8-year-old romance that we have today and the origin of the 2-day celebration.

This year’s 2-day celebration was held at Il Piccino Trattoria, a nice little Italian restaurant in San Juan. The place was actually built in the 1920’s and is the ancestral home of the chef’s family. Dinner, even during ordinary days, is by reservation only. Every course was really delightful and the service was superb. Thank you, Nikko for the lovely dinner and the pretty carnations! More importantly, thank you for making me smile everyday! You always make me feel beautiful and super loved!

Happy Valentine's Day, everyone! <3

Mommy, hope you liked the tulip I gave you. And to my dad and brother, I hope you liked the red velvet cupcakes I gave you! :)
I love my Mommy!

Ateneo Law School Diamond Ball

The Ateneo Law School held its Diamond Ball at the Manila Polo Club last February 4. It was just like prom and it was magical. Despite the numerous things that law students have to do, our cool block made sure we had time for this one (Well, most of us were there because of the incentives the professors were offering. Haha).

It was my first time to be in a school ball with Nikko. I didn't know him during 3rd year high school prom yet, and I was too shy to ask him to be my grad ball date in 4th year, because I thought he was going to know that I liked him already if I did. For his ball, I was there because of a friend. Nikko didn't have any date then but he asked if he could dance with me and I said yes.

I had this dress made three days before the event! I had my trusted seamstress make it for me. It was my design; my mom helped me brainstorm and pick out the fabric.
I went to David's Salon in Ali Mall for my hair and make-up. This is one of the best looks I've had.

My dream dress! <3

It's actually see-through (made of powernet) but the camera flash does not make it look like it is.

I like this photo a lot. Conceptualized by the great Hannah Ang.

Love this a lot! <3 Dance with me?

Thank you to my beautiful girls for cam-whoring with me (and the guys na rin for cam-whoring with us. Hahaha). Special thanks to Hannah "Hang" Ang for taking wonderful photos. And  thank you to Nikko for being my super sweet and awesome date. It felt like prom because I was with you! :*

Happy 75th, Ateneo Law School!
