Today, I went to Corregidor with my parents and my Uncle Louie, a balikbayan. I had a great time even when it's already my third time there. The place is just amazing and rich in stories.

It was a good opportunity to take photos, considering the view. And since I still can't get over my red ombre hair, I'm posting a photo now. Photos of the actual trip will come in later.

Smashbox High Definition Healthy FX Foundation

I'm not the kind of girl who puts on foundation everyday (even to school) because I want to protect my skin whenever I can. But this doesn't mean that I don't care about getting the right foundation for me. In fact, I believe that one should always invest in a good foundation.

It was time to purchase new foundation and I decided to try something different. It's been a long time (maybe two or three years?) since I last relied on liquid foundation because I've been engrossed with mineral foundation (I use the True Match Naturale Mineral Foundation by L'Oreal because it's so easy to apply and you don't need to use pressed powder after).

I decided to go with this Smashbox High Definition Healthy FX Foundation (Fair F2) and I'm very happy with it. It has UVA/UVB SPF 15, protecting me from the sun, and it also gives that oil-free, smooth finish.

Binibining Pilipinas 2012 Parade of Beauties

Last Sunday, the Binibining Pilipinas 2012 candidates had a parade in the Araneta Center. We live just across Ali Mall so we were able to witness the event that was happening right outside our doorstep.

Other than being excited, as a girly girl to see reigning  beauty queens and future ones, I was also out there to try out the features of my camera.

I took photos of each candidate from number 7 to 30 but I only posted those whose shots were clear and/or pretty. I was still going down the building when Candidates No. 1-6 passed by. 

The next parade will be the Grand Santacruzan in May and I can't wait for it! Oh, the perks of living in the Araneta Center!

Pink Alarm by IN2IT

I bought this really cool lipstick by IN2IT in PCX, Powerplant last week. I wanted something different, something bright since I've always been a red and brown lipstick wearer.

IN2IT's Moisture Intense Lipstick (Pink Alarm). It's really affordable (only P375). Actually, I was planning to buy MAC's Pink Nouveau (which would have cost me a thousand bucks) and it's really good I found this one. 

Another good thing about this lipstick is that it lasts really long.

And of course, it's very striking.

Sephora Make-up Studio Blockbuster

I've been dreaming of this for months and now, it's finally in my hands! :) Thank you so much to my cool grandma, Nanay for spoiling me!

I bought Magic Leverage curlformers from Ebay a few weeks ago and tried them for the fourth time today. Curlformers are tiny plastic mesh twirls, which allow one's hair to curl up without the use of heat. You just have to insert parts of your hair inside the curlformers with the help of a hook, leave them on, and remove them after some hours.

The seller says they're Curlformers but the box says Magic Leverage.

The boxes I bought each contained 9 long pieces and 9 short pieces.
The colors are assorted.

 by connecting the two.

I used the long ones today and I spent around 12 minutes putting them on. Of course, I had to apply mousse first so the curls would stay.

After six hours, I finally took them off and was ready to go to school.
